Leadership Durham
A program to build community trustee leaders by providing in-depth information and discussion about key components of the community.
Professional Women's Network
A year-round program that brings professional women together for
information,
education, networking and professional development in a
wide variety of settings.
Small Business Council
The Small Business Council (SBC) is designed to serve, represent and promote the Chamber's small business members and to enhance the economic health of the small business community. The Small Business Council provides educational, networking and promotional opportunities tailored to the needs of small business owners and managers.
Workforce Development
The Workforce Development program includes a number of youth and adult initiatives, helping ensure that those ready to enter the workforce are well prepared and have ever opportunity to succeed.
Governmental Affairs
A critical element of a prosperous economy is to advocate for policies and initiatives that create a positive business climate, whether it is at the local, state or federal levels of government. The Chamber takes an active role in being the advocate for the business community.
Relocation
While not an official program of the Chamber, we work every day to provide information for individuals, couples and families considering relocating to our area. By providing appropriate information they request, we also have the opportunity to capture information about them, and with their agreement, we provide that to our member businesses that participate in the Relocation Leads Program.
Additionally, we are launching a public-private partnership to outreach to executives and managers of companies relocating or expanding in the City or County to show them all our community has to offer as a place to live. For information on this program, contact Ted Conner, Vice President for Economic Development, at tconner@durhamchamber.org or (919) 682-2133.
