As Ninth Street’s oldest locally owned restaurant, Blue Corn Café serves up Latin American fare, including Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Mexican dishes and are known for their award winning vegetarian and vegan dishes, not to mention the excellent margaritas, sangria, and mojitos!
About Blue Corn Café:
What's the secret ingredient for a successful multi-cultural marriage between chefs/owners? Danielle Martini-Rios and husband, Antonio Rios, are as adventuresome and fearless in the kitchen as they are in their worldly travels and schooling. Danielle, of Italian descent, lived in vibrant Miami for many years, thus honing her love and knowledge of both Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine. Antonio brings authentic Mexican flavors to the table, especially shown in his homemade sauces and salsas. The Blue Corn Cafe, Durham's only Latin-American Restaurant, is right at home in the eclectic surroundings of Ninth Street. Weather permitting; there is limited outdoor cafe seating available. However, the cozy interior is just as appealing, with local artists providing an ever-changing gallery of work for sale.
Business After Hours is a well-attended "end-of-the-work-day" networking event designed to help participants make new business contacts, develop potential new customers, and build exposure for their businesses. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served, and attendees will have the chance to win door prizes donated by different area businesses.
