Join us for the “Get on Board” seminar where you will hear from Trudy Smith (Executive Director, Executive Service Corps of the Greater Triangle) and Ed Rose,(Volunteer Director, Triangle BoardConnect) about how individuals can get involved and participate in their communities through volunteer service, and what bring on a Board of Directors means for you, your community and your organization of choice.
Workshop topics include:
- Benefits to board participation (networking, visibility, etc.)
- How to select which non-profit to become involved with
- How to get appointed/volunteer for the board
- Roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Risks/liabilities for board members
