Description:

You’re invited to the Understanding Healthcare Reform breakfast forum on December 15, 2009.

Healthcare reform legislation is moving rapidly in Congress and is a significant issue for small business owners and individuals. Finding and providing affordable healthcare has proven to be an overwhelming challenge for small business owners. Small business owners and their employees are the backbone of the American economy and we want to help them stay engaged in the conversations about healthcare reform.

To gain a better understanding of the proposed legislation, the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce will host Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina as they present a breakfast briefing on December 15, 2009, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. A complimentary breakfast is included.

The breakfast forum will feature Mark Fleming, Senior Director of Government Affairs for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina to discuss the reform proposals in Congress and the effects on business owners and individuals. Joining Mark will be Brad Crone, regional director of the Healthcare Leadership Council, a coalition of CEOs advocating quality, innovation and access for the nation’s health care delivery system.

The event is free, but registration is required and space is limited to the first 75 registrants. Please RSVP below by December 11, 2009.
