About Michele Langley:

 

Michele Langley, PHR is the is the co-founder of HR Partner Advantage, LLC where she uses her 20 years of combined HR and business management experience to provide client-driven HR solutions to small and medium-sized companies.  She has worked in the retail, non-profit, manufacturing and marketing industries.

Michele is an expert resume writer and assists her clients in optimizing their LinkedIn profile to increase their professional opportunities. She has been a past speaker and the NCSHRM National Student Conference, NCSHRM Webinars, and provides various training and leadership workshops for businesses and individuals on using social media to network professionally.  She currently speaks at local NC colleges and universities as well as in-transition networking groups on “Networking through Social Media.”

For the past 5 years, she has provided HR consulting services at small to medium sized companies providing hands-on assistance with developing and implementing HR business processes and procedures. Her areas of expertise includes HR federal & state legal compliance, training & development, employee relations, performance management systems, HR policies and procedures, employee handbooks, new hire procedures, job descriptions, and career services. 

Michele is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and graduated Summa Cum Laude from NCSU.  She currently serves on the NC SHRM State Council and on the RWHRMA Board of Directors. 

About Chamber U: Chamber U is a new, innovative initiative of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce designed to address critical topics and to help prepare Chamber members to meet the ever-changing demands of the workplace.  These once-a-week educational opportunities provide members with valuable tools and information they can take back to their businesses and utilize to help them achieve the success they desire. The program provides individualized growth and development opportunities for entry level to executive leadership covering the entire gamut from "nuts & bolts" to "visionary thinking."

When is Chamber U? Every Wednesday at the Chamber from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce office.

Who can attend? Anyone can attend, and most subjects are good for any Durham or Triangle resident, businessperson or community member!
