State And Federal
The Chamber's State and Federal Legislative Committee has the primary responsibility for monitoring legislation and making recommendations to the Chamber's Executive Committee and Board of Directors related to public policy.
The committee meets on a monthly basis to receive updates on state and federal issues and identifies areas of responsibility and potential positions for the Board of Directors. It's overarching objective is to help create good, sound public policy that supports a positive business climate.
The Chamber also participates in an annual regional chambers' delegation to Washington, D.C., where the group meets with our federal delegation to discuss key business issues and pending federal legislation.
Additionally, the Chamber holds an Annual Legislative Day in Raleigh, the state capital, to meet with our local delegation on key local and state issues.
